 | New Minnesota Limited Liability Company Statute | . | . | Minnesota's
limited liability company statute was recently completely re-written by
the Minnesota legislature. The new statute will apply to all limited
liability companies newly-formed in Minnesota after July 31, 2015, and will apply to all prior existing limited liability companies in Minnesota on and after January 1, 2018. Existing limited liability companies can opt to have the new statute apply even before January 1, 2018. More >

 | Women's Economic Security Act | . | . | On
Mother's Day, May 11, 2014, Governor Dayton signed into law a package
of bills known as the Women's Economic Security Act ("WESA"), intended
to improve the workplace for women in Minnesota. Among other things,
WESA provides more flexibility for pregnant women and nursing mothers by
requiring employers to provide workplace accommodations for pregnant
women, reasonable, unpaid break time, and a private room for the use of
nursing mothers. More >
